STRESS Can Make You Sick
Is Stress Your
New NORM?
|
We all know what stress is. Some stress is good. It can get us
motivated and into action. But too much stress can be detrimental to
your health. Did you know that in addition to a very specific
physiological response, stress has effects on mental, emotional, and
spiritual well-being? Let’s look at that. Mental well-being
includes the ability to think, to process information, to remember
things, and to communicate. Emotional well-being includes the ability
to feel and express a full range of human emotions. It includes the
ability to control one’s emotions rather than be at their mercy.
Spiritual well-being is about experiencing meaningful purpose in life,
having and living to personal values, being able to enjoy relationships
with self and others, and being on a path to higher consciousness.
|
|
|
Stress affects physical well-being by disrupting physical
homeostasis, can damage cells and organ tissues, and can lead to death.
Stress affects mental well-being by overloading circuits and decreasing
processing capabilities, which ultimately affects your productivity
and performance. Stress affects emotional well-being by causing an
overload to emotional circuits, which can either shut down the circuits
(depression), or cause agitation in the circuits (anxiety, fear).
Stress can cause a block to spiritual well-being, making you unable to
access a higher consciousness path to life because you are stuck in
survival mode.

By understanding how stress affects our total well-being, when we
experience “stress” symptoms – including loss of memory, inability to
think clearly, inability to feel or express emotions, too many negative
emotions, ennui, depression, anxiety, inappropriate or too much anger,
inability to sleep well for 7 – 8 hours, excessive worry, loss of
libido, imbalance in life, heart palpitations, weight loss or gain,
muscle tension, and more – we now understand that these symptoms from
our vital force are saying “stress is affecting me, pay attention!”
It is when we don’t pay attention and don’t make changes, stress can
become our new NORM and we do not even realize it.

Did you
know that when you are chronically stressed for long periods, you learn
to cope and adapt to your symptoms? Soon you believe your particular stress symptoms are your new norm
– i.e. not getting enough sleep, feeling anxious much of the time, and
so on? The symptoms may come and go. They may bother you enough to
seek medical help, which typically comes in the form of a prescription.
When it becomes your new norm, and you either do nothing about it, or
you go get a “happy pill” i.e. for anxiety or depression, you are
harming yourself. The cumulative effects and results of these daily
stresses may not show up for a number of years, or they may show up
sooner as louder symptoms (i.e. – peptic ulcer, Bell’s Palsy, high blood
pressure, frequent upper respiratory infections, an aged appearance, and
so on). Every symptom your body gives you is an expression of your
vital force trying to tell you something. Taking a “happy pill” is not
addressing the problem. Suppress that symptom and it will go further
inside and start destruction somewhere else, perhaps coming out later at
a deeper level – say, cardiopulmonary conditions, suicidal tendencies,
or even cancer, to name a few. Ignoring chronic stress symptoms or
making them your norm is damaging your body, causing it to work in
overload to maintain homeostasis. It will make you sick if it goes
unchecked too long.

Now that you know this, what can you do that:
1. Deals
with the effects and causes of stress
2. Is
effective in raising your overall level of health
3. Helps
maintain all levels of your well-being
4. And
what can you do if you have already become ill to regain a good level of
health?

Homeopathy is a safe, effective system of natural medicine, used by
millions of people all over the world for over 200 years. Homeopathic
medicines are prepared from natural sources, used in extremely small
amounts, and are recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Homeopathy supports the maintenance of health in all areas of well-being
– mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. It does not suppress
symptoms, but addresses the root cause. Unfortunately, many people seek
homeopathy after they have gotten a devastating diagnosis – cancer,
rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, etc. While that may not be too
late, if they had come sooner, when they consistently couldn’t sleep for
months, when they started having memory problems or anxiety or stomach
issues, they may not have progressed to that level of illness.

I worked for large corporations for 20+ years and know the level of
stress within the workplace can be extremely high, not to mention family
life and everything else outside of work! What I saw was people adapting
to the stress, and over time becoming sicker. They allowed their stress
symptoms to become their norm. They did not know there is a better
way, a way to deal with the effects of stress in a healthy, safe, and
effective way, instead of accepting, masking, or ignoring symptoms.

Homeopathy is holistic and individual. Two people with similar
symptoms will most likely have two different courses of action.
|
|
|
Because of the nature of the work I do and the people I see, I am
determined not to add to anyone’s stress. I offer travel to your place
of business, as long as you have a private room with table and chairs
available for our consultation.
